The three founding partners - David Sm ith, Jamie Hersch, Fredi Sonderegger - are Associate Principals in their respective instruments with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. They've performed extensively around the world and have individually received critical acclaim on many occasions. They are also faculty members of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and School Of The Arts.

Top Brass® is the manifestation of their dream to contribute to Singapore becoming a regional hub of excellence in the performing arts by providing the means to raise the standard of music in schools, particularly in brass musicianship.

What distinguishes Top Brass® from every other music shop is that we do not employ salesmen.Instead, you will be attended to by a professional musician, there to personally assist you select an instrument that best suits your purpose, style and physical characteristics. Top Brass® is a hub in every sense of the word.

1. People come to take one-on-one lessons by musicians who were themselves taught at The Juilliard School, the Royal Academy of Music, Boston University and other pre-eminent conservatories. Ever so often, we organise Master Classes by visiting artists.
2. The two Recital Studios, each with a grand piano, offer an cosy setting for casual recitals.
3. It’s a place to hangout with musicians who have performed with livings legends such as Claudio Abaddo, Mstislav Rostropovich, Jost Meyer and others. Meet, share, exchange – and have fun at Top Brass®.
